    Pilates mat class begins with standing exercises with free weights. You will need 1 or 2 sets of small free weights - we suggest a set of 1lb weights and 3lb weights, or a set of 2lb weights and 4-5lb weights. If you have any shoulder or neck issues, you could do the exercises without the weights to begin with.
